So, first things first, I am still alive. Second, I’ll be at Dragon Con in Atlanta this weekend speaking on a panel about crowd-funding Monday, Sept 1st morning at 10am. Swing on by to learn about crowd-funding or catch me after to chat! If you aren’t in Atlanta this weekend, the next opportunity will be Nov 8th-9th at the Texas Book Festival in Austin. Historically, I haven’t done a lot of / any in person events, so this is a rare chance to catch me in the wild!
Beyond sporadically showing up at book-ish events, I’m back to working on Wahrheit 5 which is going to be the final book in that series. There was a period of more months than I’d like to admit where I was sucked into side gigs, kids, and just life where progress was stalled, but we’re back in business. I’m really trying to finish this book before the end of the year, but it will be close.
In addition to that, we’re moving right along on the Benjamin Ashwood Kickstarter Collector’s Editions. Benjamin Ashwood is printed and the freight shipment should be moving soon, but I got my advance copy this week and it turned out incredible. Just truly as good as I could have imagined. As the author, I am thrilled, and I think fans will be too. I expect it will be a little over a month before the freight shipment arrives, and we’ll get that kicked right back out to backers, then we’ll have Endless Flight: Benjamin Ashwood Book 2 penciled in for late October. There will be a Wahrheit 5 Kickstarter and retail release, but it’s pending based on compelling the danged book! My hope, I can run the Kickstarter late November, release ebook & audiobook to backers in January or February, then have the digital retail release in March.
What happens after that? The cauldron of ideas is bubbling, but I’m forcing myself to not even consider it until I get this one wrapped. So with any luck, I’ll be back in much less than nine more moths to give another update!
